A woman at work just now learned about Katrina in the break room
from a co-worker. She had not heard one thing about the hurricane; it was complete news to her. Somebody tell me what planet these people come from, because they can't be from here.

1. some people shun modern news
Don't receive newspapers, don't own a TV, don't have a computer. . .that doesn't make them aliens.

6. Yeah she is their "ideal citizen." Even if it got me into to trouble
I think I would be in her face- you know back in recent earlier days she could have been fired for being so silly, now if you jumped iin her face would more tan likely be fired.

7. I ran into that at a store in town on Tuesday.
Me (looking at headline): My God. Katrina did SO much more damage than that.

Cashier (seventeen): Who's Katrina? Oh, wait, is that the storm?
