....all I had was a shit load of travel size deodorants and hair conditioner that a girlfiend of mine gave me from a case of samples her friend gets for doin' advertisement and gets sent samples.. I wish I could do so much more...but got my last paycheck yesterday which was a whopping $165 after taxes...and it's all gone as I've been behind on payin' bills...and only got 7 gallons of gas for 20 bucks...my soul is crushed for all those people havin' to live up in that crowded civic center...well at least a few people will be able to put some deodorant on and make their hair softer...sigh.

it is easy for the wealthy to donate...it is more appreciated when it comes from someone who is struggling.

.....or even the now empty 300,000 sq.ft..State Farm building here locally for more people to have a place to stay as well...makes me sick it's not crossed anyone elses mind that these places are vacant and could be used. x(

....and a bath and some shampoo felt like life preservers literally...so I had these things in my cabinet and decided they could be used and appreciated as much more by these poor folks now.

Just that chance to 'smell' clean will cheer up people a little bit. I wish I could do something that direct but thankfully I can write a few checks so that others can provide some help.

....my sister and aunt sell Mary Kay and there were a lot of samples of stuff they gave me that I'd never used...at least a handful of ladies will feel a little better for a short while.

5. Hey, you did what you could given your resources |
Which is a lot more than many people and corporations did. You could have given $5 cash and still given a larger percentage of your net earnings than Wal-mart did.

I played the Mega Millions tonight (jackpot 131 million). 5 quickpick tickets and I didn't get even one number on any of them. What I could have done with that money.....

10. Pass it forward....my heart just breaks for those poor people...... |
....crammed into that space...with no where else to go..I hope our relief efforts can be sustained to the high standard it's had in the past at times like these...but this is long term as there's nothing for them to go back to this time and the center may not hold...hopefully our churches and religious leaders are willing to walk their talk for the long haul..and our local Red Cross are miracle workers at this point in time. x(
