Let's say, just as a hypothetical,

That I'm going to promise to give some gift to the person here who makes the biggest donation to the Red Cross (or to some other organization involved in relief efforts) and sends me a PM with irrefutable proof that s/he really made the donation.

The question is: how could this be done?

People making the donation in my name, with my contact info, and then I automagically receive a thank you note for having donated US$ X?

People sending me a paper receipt by snail mail?

Something else entirely?

If there is a viable way for me to verify that the donation really took place, I just might do it. I've sent things to DUers before, and all of them have arrived. Ask WannaJumpMyScooter, bertha, or flamingyouth.

It's not a very valuable thing but it may be kind of unique. Or not.
