How does one go about building a Chocolate Martini *thinkin'* I bet I already have everything ...

I wish the advanced search was working so I could pull up a conversation we had a while back wherein I told you how to make a chocolate martini :) I think you went and got the Godiva Liqueur and Absolut Vanilla after that.

Anyway, it's more of a general cocktail than a tini (but there are tini versions)... You take your cold tini glass and "paint" a swirl of chocolate syrup in it. Then in your shaker (1/2 filled with ice) you mix one shot Absolut Vanilla, one shot white creme de cacao, one shot Godiva Liqueur (milk, dark, or white--all varieties are good.) Then add enough FF half-n-half to fill the rest of the mixer. Shake, serve, and be prepared to go to chocolate heaven.

I bought the Absolut Vanilla (I might have some left) and Godiva White Liqueur (I know there is lots of that) but without the one shot of white creme de cacao ... it wasn't very good.

and, as weird as it sounds, the Fat Free Half-n-half. Hmm, but I'm also thinking that sometimes we go with two shots of Godiva. Taste and try. And it never hurts to have a chocolate covered strawberry on the rim of the glass :P

Isn't that Absolut Vanilla great? It works with so many other things. I also love the Absolut Raspberry. If you ever want more recipes, just let me know. I've got books and CDs with thousands of tini/cocktail recipes--probably only about 20 of which are tried and true but still...

Maybe I'll start a separate thread for it this weekend, then others can chip in some recipes! Until then, here are a few goodies...

Apeach works great with Sprite (2 parts Apeach on ice, then fill the rest with Sprite.) Simple and yummy.

The Absolut website had a yummy Vanilla drinky that I tried. Made a good summer day drink:
In an ice tea glass half filled with ice,
2pts Absolut Vanilla,
a dash of bitters,
Fill the rest with an apple flavored tea
(I brewed an apple celestial seasonings with a regular tea bag.)

Lately I've been enjoying Malibu coconut rum mixed with Pineapple juice and a splash of cranberry mixer. (Just mix to taste. Malibu doesn't have an overly rummy taste, so don't worry about adding too much. Mix in a shaker with ice, pour in tini glass.)

Also with pineapple juice, I like:
In a ice filled shaker...
1 shot absolut rasperri
1 shot amaretto
fill the rest 1/2 and 1/2 with pinapple and cranberry juices.
Shake-shake-shake, pour into tini glass.

We're all doing well at the moment. I can't call for an appointment to have my trike repaired until Tuesday, but that is only a small gripe. It'll be fixed and back on the road before too much longer.

31. Things are alright, here.

We had some rain and about 25-30 mph winds on Monday. It actually felt great on Monday as well. Cool, although very windy. We have alot of refugees here and the local high schools in the area are enrolling students from the areas affected. Schools are closed today so that the buses can pick up refugees. It's been a hectic week, which is why I'm glad that we have a worthwhile diversion that started tonight and will continue for a while.
