I sent it to Kari too this morning.

I'm hitting some garage sales and the Salvation Army for some clothes for folks tomorrow, and going to stock up on tons of hygiene products and such (diapers, tampons, pads, astringent, alcohol, creams, etc).

I have some stuff at home, plus a bunch of sample sizes from traveling.

We also have some books and magazines we can contribute, which I saw they needed. I know Half Price Books always has their super duper duplicate books (usually oversold bestsellers) on their sale rack for 25 cents.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to do the phone bank thing, but I liked the ladies idea of the writing project. I may try to do some of those too.

And I saw that the Methodists are doing those "Hurricane Buckets" for of bleach and alcohol and such for the health concerns down there. I think you can take them to any Methodist church and they'll make sure they get there.

I'm thinking hard here too!

I am really fond of progmom and I don't even know why, although I am sure it is not just because I like 60s jazz.

I think DS1 rules because he seems so straightforward; he just says what he thinks and doesn't back down even if he gets flamed. Plus I seem to agree with him most of the time!

Everyone has been really down recently and there's no wonder at that. I am kinda out of it, partly because I'm so far away and mostly because I don't have a TV, which really serves to disconnect me from current events.
