Oh dear... I have to like Hilary Duff a little bit...
Whenever someone that I previously didn't care much for does something either benevolent or truly impressive, I feel compelled to like them just a little bit. On that note....

I add Hilary Duff to my people I like a little bit because she's 17, and she has enough good stuff in her to donate a quarter of a million dollars to the relief effort.

2. Also...
Stuff by Hilary Duff: PETA-Approved!

Pop princess Hilary Duff may be selling out stadiums on her “Still Most Wanted” tour this summer, but she hasn’t sold out her animal friends. We’ve just gotten word that the animal-lovin’ teen sensation’s cosmetics line is cruelty-free! Manufactured by Townley Cosmetics, “Stuff by Hilary Duff” has received PETA’s seal of approval because none of the products are tested on animals.

Townley Cosmetics, which also makes the hugely popular Hello Kitty, Power Puff Girls, and Earth 2 Jane collections, as well as retro faves Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, and My Little Pony, has signed PETA’s “Statement of Assurance” promising that it will not conduct animal tests. Townley joins more than 500 companies that have made the switch from cruel and outdated animal tests to non-animal methods to ensure that their cosmetics, personal-care products, and household products are OK for people to use. Which, if you ask us, makes perfect sense, because when was the last time you saw a bunny in eye shadow and lip gloss or a rat doing his laundry anyway?

10. And she's a big animal lover herself ;)
She owns and rides horses with her sister Hailie, and they have two adopted doggies as well!

4. Good news
I don't like her music, but she seems like she has a good heart. I really don't think she went to **'s inauguration because of her own politics - she has said that she doesn't pay attention to politics.

7. Music reviews mostly annoy me
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 02:56 PM by mvd
I don't trust any of them. I think Steve Jones from USA Today is a fair (as in even-handed) critic, and I think Stephen Thomas Erlewine is a good writer with a passion for music. But even with them, I have to decide for myself.

I've seen mostly poor reviews for the new album.

9. Didn't mean to jump on you
It just brought out some of my disdain for music critics. Even if you were going to buy it, I wouldn't hold it against you. :hi:

I don't know if I'd turn it down, to be honest. She was probably thinking the same thing.

11. Even if she did play Bush's inauguration(I think) that more
than makes up for it. I hope some of the more affluent Saints cough up up some dough. I think Warrick Dunn asked every NFLer to throw in 5K, if everyone does that will be one big check. Every pro-athlete should throw in something.

Dunn is a class act. I will now cheer for him and the Falcons when they are not playing the Eagles :D

By the way, I'm drunk, so I might not be making sense...

You're such a hottie. We must be together. We can start a jam band and you can sing classic-rock covers. OMG that would rule.
