Creation- Evolution debate in Colorado Springs

At the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (my alma mater) a debate was held recently between a physics instructor, a member of the Freethinkers in Colorado Springs, and Kent Hovind (a big name in creationist circles). Hovind goes all over the country doing these debates. I have attached an article that discusses the debate and a letter to the editor written by the physics instructor who engaged Hovind in the debate.

Normally I would post this in the Colorado section. But I think its an interesting snapshot of how these debates usually go. Creationists change rules, question evolution without allowing to much questioning of creation, and generally shout a lot without saying anything. The article here shows that the creationists were less than civil during the course of the proceedings.

My possible bias: I took three separate courses from this instructor and he is a fabulous physics teacher.
