My psych prescribed zoloft to me and I'm on strattera...
I just read mixing zoloft and strattera can lead to bad things.

For the week I was on it, I was heavily fatigued, with a racing pulse (136), sweating at the drop of a pin, flushed face, irritable, more hyperactive, and I had a cool type of discharge which had my psych in denial and sending me for (get this) STD testing. :eyes: (the tests so far are all NEGATIVE but two are still out and I'd bet good money they will come back NEGATIVE as well. Too many coincidences.)

I'm off the zoloft but I'm deciding "F this S. These drugs are not natural and what they are treating me for are part of man-made problems not found in the normal stressors in other species/environments; it's all about drug profits too."

Be wary of LEGAL drugs, folks.

1. Dude, I'm sorry. I have learned to really distrust most psychiatrists.
I've only run across a couple of good ones and I've been at the trying-to-get-better game for a very long time.

"These drugs are not natural and what they are treating me for are part of man-made problems not found in the normal stressors in other species/environments; it's all about drug profits too."

I've begun to suspect that humans were not made to live this way at all. We are supposed to be hunter/gatherers. No wonder my system is freaked out. In a hunter/gatherer society, I would have been a well-respected artist and musician. There's no room for artists and musicians in a corporatist society. There is no room for the sensitive.

I've been on SSRIs since I was 18 and they don't touch my problems. Why am I still taking them? The Strattera helped at first, but now... According to my moronic psychiatrist, the pain meds I'm on are cancelling out the SSRIs and Strattera. I'm so tired.

HypnoToad, you and I have so much in common. We're dealing with both psych meds and we both have physical issues. I wish you luck, buddy.

I've always liked you, BTW. :) You're a good soul.

2. Wellbutrin nearly killed me
I am taking Celexa now, for the short term...I started out sleepy. but I take it at night now. I should be going off of it around the end of the year.
The difference I notice is that I feel the same all the time. Not really, but it's knocked the 'negative' feelings down somewhat, and lightened my depression.

I am sorry you have so many health problems, HypnoToad. I know from personal experience that it is not any fun. Unless you can eat ice cream all the time. :hi:
