We're actually thinking about either going to Europe or North to The Teritorries for next spring/summer just to literally escape from reality for awhile.

We need to get the monies together; hell, we may just chuck everything and get a ttrailer and go on the road for awhile w/ the kitty. But if we go to Europe, we're heading your way, I promise you that!:)

I feel the same, E. Am overwhelmed, and still I have to know more and more. This isn't about me no matter how weary this is on my soul. And I get a sense that this is the beginning of a new civil unrest.

I made it through the '60s. I want to weather this change in this new climate as well.

It's got to be the beginnings of civil unrest; if watching fellow citizens starving and dying in NOLA won't do it, I don't know what will.

In a way, this has become a Perfect Storm of unrest in the US; we're going to reach critical mass very, very soon. Iraq, Plame, Katrina, it's all coming together to create a groundswell of anger that's going to be unleashed on this administration; it's not limited to one side of the idealogical sphere. There's enough anger at this administration that it cuts through that. And it'll be televised this time too, on TV and on the internet..

18. I'm high on life....

but I did have a few drinks last night. Unfortunately, I am a part-time smoker now. Bush has driven me to cancer sticks. Just before the Iraq war I was giving a girl in one of my classes about how pretty she was and she shouldn't smoke because it was a nasty habit etc. Now, I'm so pissed off and frazzled half the time, I need to do something to keep from going nuts. Just began lifting weights again, so I'm tossing the cigs out very soon. Very soon.

I mean it. I listened to my Mom cough her lungs out every night growing up; I started when I was 10 and quit when I was 15 because of hearing that through the walls of our apartment. I was a clost smoker too; even my best friend didn't know.

I'm so glad I quit early, and so stupid to start to begin with..

I'm too cheap to be a smoker. I prefer gum instead. I am flat out addicted to sugar free gum. Plus, I don't inhale. Can't stand to do so.
