3. $3.89, $3.69, $3.59 all within 1/4 mile of each other ...
Stewart's was the first to raise their prices to $3.89.

Citgo convince/gas station was $3.89 and lowered its price today to $3.69.

Hess was the last to move up to $3.59.

Citgo gas-only is $3.59.

Mobile (??? big surprise) is $3.59.

The streets were empty except for one large motor home which BTW was 1/2 on my side of the road it's a DAMN good thing I was driving my LITTLE 4 cylinder car cause otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here at the computer right now!

:wtf: my day ... almost started with a BAD WRECK this mornin' !!!

and I'm still waiting for one last awesome trike ride before this year's season is over ...

I'm not at all sure where it will be ... perhaps just down the Jersey shore ... I can't even make plans yet

19. Oh, sweetie! I'm sorry to hear it. I hope they get it taken
care of soon. If not, you need to come down to Florida. The riding season lasts year round!

Best wishes :hippie:

6. Good morning, my dear WC...
As usual, I need to get my education updated;

Who is Phil Ochs? I presume an artist of some sort, probably a musician....

Thanks...

Off today to Castaic, for my grandson's third birthday...

Just stopping by to say hello...

8. A great folk musician of the 1960's
who tragically took his own life...even Bob Dylan said he was a better musician/writer

http://www.cs.pdx.edu/~trent/ochs/ here's a great website on him

10. Here is a MIND BLOWER for you ~ WCGreen ! ! !
I received a phone call earlier this morning asking for blankets, tarps, clothing, food anything that I can spare ...

A good friend - Steve just bought a school bus that he driving down to Mississippi as of 1 PM today ...

... so I packed all of the nonperishable food in my kitchen into boxes, grabbed the bags of clothing that I was about to donate to the Salvation Army and drove them to Woodstock. Steve wants the bus to be as full as possible.

HE WILL BE DONATING THE BUS AND ITS CONTENTS TO A TOTAL STRANGER ! ! !

You Should Have Been Down In Mississippi
By Phil Ochs

Pardon me, all you people
who enjoy your peace of mind
you say everybody's equal
Everybody is doing fine.
You should've been down in Mississippi
in the summer of sixty-four
if you were down in Mississippi
you wouldn't say that anymore.

Pardon me, Mr.Backlash,
you say you're worried about your home
you say we're going too far too fast
you say you want to be left alone.
*chorus*

Pardon me, Mr.Policeman,
why are you shining up your shield
you say you stand for law and order
you wouldn't do no dirty deals.
*chorus*

Pardon me, Mr. Soldier,
why are you marching down the road
you say you're fighting for your future
and the freedoms that you hold.
*chorus*

Pardon me, Mr. President,
you want your place in history
you say you're doing all you can do
to makle all the people free.
*chorus*

Pardon me, all you people
who enjoy your peace of mind
you say everybody's equal
Everybody is doing fine.
*chorus*

Odd that YOU would mention Phil Ochs at this time .... my friend .... odd indeed !

people understand and support your efforts or not ...

But ... I believe ... 'acting in the beat efforts for all concerned'... is the only way I'll be happy leading my own life ...

7. Good morning to you, my dear Joani....
I do hope your breakfast was yummy!

Especially after that near miss with the motor home, or whatever it was....

Stay safe, please, my dear...

The world would be a much less interesting place without you in it...

Love ya!

13. Good afternoon to you Peggy, my friend.
*big sigh* somehow all I wanted by the time I reached Dunkin' Donuts was a mocha latte.

When I drove up to Woodstock to make a donation of things going to Mississippi (see above post # 10)...

the gas at Mobil was $4.09 !!!

I don't know if I going to leave home again for days

9. Have a great ride!
I have to conserve (yet again). Gas isn't as high here as it is there but cost of living is really low around here. I can't afford it right now.

14. I have been going out as little as possible trying to save gas ...
I haven't driven my truck in weeks.

Which was a DAMN good thing earlier this morning or I might have been in a head-on collision with an RV, my other option (which I would tried instead) might have caused a rollover because the right side tires would have hit an upward hillside

I'm honestly very happy to have an economical 4 cylinder 4 wheel drive light weight car for most of my trips out.

both of my house mates always phone home to see if there are any stops that need to be made in the way home ...

BTW

17. Hope you had/have a good trip!
I'm going to visit my mother today. It's a good excuse to bring another load of stuff from my house down there, get fed well, and do some laundry, if nothing else!
