Just want to extend a welcome to all the new posters we have at DU.
I've seen many excellent posts by new DU'ers this week and want to offer up a hello and a :beer:

3. When I first came

I hung out in GD all the time. Then I started coming to the lounge and now I spend the majority of time here. I was a lurker for a loooong time but I guess not long enough to understand the feud between the two; although I do see hostility from them whereas this is a more fun area!

Nice to be in a place where actual human beings communicate.

This is the most important time in American history since at least WWII, maybe the Civil War, maybe ever. I feel honored to be among the great patriots of our time.

I love it here, but I'm hoping to mature a bit so I can hold my own without degenerating into screamy insult matches with people who don't hold my exact beliefs...v.v

I'm extremely far left, so sometimes I have differences of opinion with the people who don't think we should set republicans on fire when we meet them. O8)
