Here is an update about N.O. musicians:
Fats Domino, who was feared missing, has been found safe and is now at his sister's house.
Clarence "Frogman" Henry ("Ain't Got No Home," "I Don't Know Why I Love You But I Do") made it to Texas.
Irma Thomas (The Soul Queen of New Orleans) was playing in Austin last Saturday night and is safe at a relative's, but her club, The Lion's Den, is underwater.
The Neville Brothers are holed up at a hotel in Memphis.
Willie Tee is too, but is running out of money.
They found Allenn Toussaint (Mr. New Orleans - artist and producer) at the Super Dome; he is on his way to Texas.
Dale Broussard of Dale and Grace ("I'm Leaving It All Up To You") is safe.
Phil Phillips (the original "Sea of Love") also is OK.
Still missing is Alex Chilton (The Box Tops). Producers like Marshall Seahorn and Wardell Quezegue have not been heard from, nor have such blues/soul artists as Tony Owens and Eddie Bo. No report on Lloyd Price ("Stagger Lee," "Personality"), either.
