I have spent 2 days shopping for a vaccuum! Ask me anything!
We bought a Dysan. I also evaluated Hoover, Kenmoore, Miele and Orreck . Wow, vaccuums have come a long way.

Biggest Plus only 8 pounds..
Biggest Negative 8 Pounds is very basic and chincey sort of

4. Never heard of them, the Sear sales lady has one and loves it
and it sold itself.. also 500 bucks. Same as Orreck, way way more sophisticated and still rather lite at 20 pounds.
