I have six dogs in all. They have never had their nails clipped in their lives. (two are 5-7 years old- and one is an offspring about three) The other three are the pups and they are about 1 1/2 years old. I know I can probably cut Moe's (a pup) nails as he is a very calm dog and will sit still when I pull off ticks. The other five are going to fight me. The adult female won't even let me brush her hair (she will grab my hand gently in her mouth). Should I try it or should I get a pro in here? How much do you pay for nail clipping?

1. My vet allows her vet tech to come to our house and |
|
Clip the kitties' claws. She only charges $20, and that saves a vomit-inducing 30 RTP to the vet's.
Btw, the vet tech lives about a mile from us....

2. I dremel mine. Jessie is horrified at the thought of trimming, so I |
|
bought one of those dremel kits and she almost falls asleep while I'm doing it. :hi:

3. get a proper dog nail clipper |
|
You should get someone to show you the first time though - it is easy to take off to much (and then there will be bleeding.)
