5. Too bad you had to work, but at least it didn't chomp.
Our Labor Day here is May 1, so the first Monday in September is just another day, usually the day after Father's Day.

Didn't even think about you having a different Labor Day. It's still winter down under isn't it? Has it been cold?

13. It's now officially Spring - here in Brisbane
we hardly had a winter at all - it's been very mild. Last weekend I was in shorts & T-shirt, but we're having cool nights and warm days. Still very dry though - the dams are a little over one-third full and we're on water restrictions.

Further south they had a real winter - snow, rain, the whole enchilada.

15. Not much here either...
Having a breakfast salad and trying to figure out just what it is that my elderly cat wants. He's meowing like a dickens but nothing I give him is satisfies him. One of the great mysteries...

10. Yeah, it would...
It's best if you go to bed at the same time every night and get up the next morning at the same time every night.

19. Good morning.
I get up early every morning, even though I'm retired. I like the mornings. Today is the last day of summer vacation for my daughters, 11 and 8. They got up a half hour ago. We live in a very secluded, rural area. We watched a doe with her twin fawns come and eat a morning meal under our apple trees. The fawns' spots are fading. Our dogs don't bother the deer, and my 120-lb German Shepard keeps this a coyote-free zone. The deer seem to know it is safe here, and spend most of the year in the pine "woods" behind my house. It's supposed to be sunny, and about 80 degrees today. Life is good.

23. That sounds fantastic!
I think it would be so cool to be able to look out the window and see deer all the time! At the same time, I'm a city boy, so that's not really possible.

35. My wife used to
live in LA. She wasn't sure she could stand the solitude here. I love it. There are a few hamlets a short distance away. I have a few neighbors, and we all seem to enjoy the same "community values" as people in these parts did 200 years ago when the area was settled.

20. Good morning Clint.
I slept stunningly well too, and am now in a bright and jolly mood.

Made even better as the one office-mate who was in this morning, has just left for an afternoon off - so I'm sitting here alone. :bounce:

Hope that you have a wonderful day.

You've got my intrigued as to the content of your "self-deleted" thread posted last night.

25. LOL...
It was a copycat thread..."You know what's missing?...a post your desktop thread!" No one responded to it, and it got to be time to go to bed, so I self deleted it and went to sleep. Nothing major, Dude. I guess everyone just wasn't in the mood for a desktop thread.

But then I'm a nosey sod, and putting up something like that just makes me want to know.

I was already in bed (before 10:30 - shocking), otherwise I would have responded.
