New DU feature request: asshole button.

It would work much like the ignore, except instead of hiding the posts, it would mark them, right next to their name, with "asshole"

once somebody is tagged with a label, everything they do automatically confirms the label. If someone has a bad day or gets into a flame war where their buttons are pushed, they would have a label they would not be able to shake. Especially with labels on the threads. "There's that a$$hole again, do not bother to read the post." It does not create a very cohesive or vibrant community.

I like it better when someone responds "boy, are you an a$$hole" and I can explain or defend myself. Sometimes an SOteric joke does not go over as planned, and sometimes the argument needs more explication.

All you have to do is cut and paste the usernames into a spreadsheet, and alphabetize it. Or if the list is short enough you can use a word processing file. That way you can keep track of not only who they are, but what they said. But you are right, I constantly have to check my enemies list which is woefully disorganized with entries like this: "I think you are just too lazy to do your own work." hfojvt 9-6-05
