http://www.imdb.com/news/sb/2005-09-06/#tv3NFL Won't Yank West for Remarks About BushThe National Football League, which has fiercely attempted to preserve its image of wholesomeness and probity, said Monday that it would not demand that Kanye West be removed from the league's season-opening show on Thursday. West had ignited controversy during a benefit for Katrina survivors Friday night when he remarked that "George Bush doesn't care about black people." But NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told the Los Angeles Times, "Like many Americans during this emotional time" West had "expressed an unscripted opinion." He said that the performers had been selected "for their entertainment value, not their political views." ++++++++++++++
YOu know, the tides really are turning in our favor. I think even a year ago if Kayne West had made that comment about Bush he would have not only been banned from the NFL but probably pulled from every radio station playlist and record store. THe fact that the NFL is still allowing West on their program shows that what West said really hit home with how people perceive Bush and his administration.
Congrats Kayne - you have a new fan in Delaware!!
