Legal - Property question. Need help!!

Hi, my friend signed a contract 2 or 3 years ago, to "Rent-to-own" a double wide trailer, that's valued around $42,000.00

Tonight when she got home there was a message on her answering machine, from the property owner.

"If you want to get out of your contract, I would advise that you do it now. We are going to declare bankruptcy"

My friends original plan was to rent to own, until her credit could handle the mortgage, but previously owned trailers, are almost impossible to refinance. And she has no idea what her options are.

We live in Pennsylvania. She has 3 kids, that she is raising alone, with a full-time job, and excellent benefits.

Any help would be appreciated.

get a copy of that contract and ALL receipts for payments she's made to an attorney.

She wants to keep her home, and she just has no idea of what to do.
