Had A Cheesesteak With Lots Of Raw Onion -- I Feel MUCH Better
Got it last night before I went to sleep, woke up a couple hours ago, and I feel like a new man -- really.

Somehow it helped pull me out of a depressive funk I've been dealing with since the onset of Katrina 10 days ago. I highly recommend.

1. AHA! I knew somebody was gonna go and start with the food!
So I went and fixed me a nice salad and its chillen in the fridge. I am not fallen for the grilled cheese sandwiches like a couple of nights ago nor the donuts like early this morning or that Klondike bar at lunch, nope, not me.... were those Walla Wallas or those sweet thinly sliced purple onions????
(ps: cool newspaper, I bookmarked it. Question to you specifically news-guy: Is it me or is there some kind of post traumatic stress syndrome going on all over this country to include the Democratic Underground? I am sure noticing a lot more walking wounded than normal, self included.)

2. It Was The White Kind Of Onions...
although I would probably have gone for the purple kind if I had made it myself. I think it's likely that there is some vitamin or nutrient in the onions that helped with my mood.

Yes, I believe there is a terrible post traumatic stress syndrome-type thing going around, especially among intelligent folks who make an effort to see what's going on. As a depressed friend mentioned to me that he told a shrink several weeks ago (to be treated for depression and anxiety): "If you're not depressed, you don't know what's going on."

Thanks for the encouragement about the WorldNewsTrust.org site. It needs A LOT of work. One of my highest priorities is to work on it full time and hire a good team of people. Chrs

3. That might just make a good story.
The only post traumatic stress syndrome stories I have heard have been out of a different gulf. I have noticed a high degree of folks here in the DU wondering into the lounge with what appears to be a sort of shell shock. I have done it, you started out this thread that way. I had not considered the intelligence angle. I think If nobody else has, I will start a "thread of inquiry" over in the GD area and check back into it later. As to your newspaper, I am sure you are well aware that there are some real fine objective journalists here in the DU. (Many unattached). You shan't have to look far for 'em if that is what you need. I look forward to reading your newspaper further, even if it needs a lot of work, what little I saw was impressive.
