Is "Religion Hopping" Healthy?

I'm asking because I have been doing it as of late, trying to find something comfortable. My problem is that I find glaring similarities in all religions and I think overall it is an unbashed attempt to control the minds of many. The most sensible religion I have come across is either spritualism and Buddhism. They teach sanctity in the human soul, rather than to a airborne invisible dude.

Enough of my ramblings. Is this healthy for the mind, or should I reappraise myself and find out 1/if I even believe in a god 2/Can I live without religion ?

i think that tells you something right there. I haven't believed in God since they told me the truth about santa claus as a child. i couldn't see the difference..I figured they lied about both since the stories seemed to serve the same purpose.

2. our "minister" religion hopped.

Baptist to Church of Christ to agnostic to atheist to a whole wrangle of different teachings, into what he is today.

Which I cannot classify.

3. Not preachin' here . . .

I believe in a higher power, but I think that higher power has the ability to speak to each person in the language each person's heart and mind understands. Nothing wrong with listening to a lot of languages before happening upon the one you understand, or embracing all the snippets of language that make you a fuller human being.

I'm a mixed bag, and have settled on trying to my life as an expression of Buddhism's Four Immeasureables: love, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity.
