I just bought a sketch pad,

some pastels, some charcoal, and colored pencils. I am getting back into drawing. It is theraputic! I am a decent drawer and sketcher though I can't paint worth a crap.

2. I love a fresh sketch pad.
I love a fresh, new sketch pad and brand new pens. I turn into kind of a goob about art supplies (really excited), especially when I'm in an art supply store or an office supply shop!

6. Me too
There is something about the smell and feel of fresh paper...

I have to be very careful when I go into an art supply store or I run wild.

Khash.

4. It is theraputic.
That is why we donated crayons, colored pencils, sharpeners, drawing paper, note pads, rulers, pencils and pens to a donation site yesterday.

I love your smilies.:7

5. Thanks! Yes, kids could definitely use
that as an outlet for their grief and pain. Great idea! Good work!

22. Thank you so much, Shell Beau!
I love drawing food

and I love drawing faces.

I would love to see your nature drawings. Also, pastels & charcoal kind of intimidate me a little, because I smudge things so easily. I like to use a pencil lightly at first, and then a quick drying, permanent pen.

27. You are super talented!
I am going to practice a bit since it has been so long since I have done anything artsy, but when I feel confident enough, I'll post one. Again, you are awesome! :)

I think I'm going to draw your face, or try, at least. Wow. Come to think of it, that would be great. Especially in person!

8. Bought a portable easel last week
can't draw, can't paint, but I needed a different type of meditation.
The easel will keep my dogs and cat off the surfaces.

We must have been inspired!B-)

11. Must have. Sometimes you learn that you
really do have a talent. I never knew I could draw until a few years ago when I took art in college. I really surprised myself!

My mom used to do that, although her real talents lay in knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and embroidery. I envy people with some modicum of artistic ability!
