7. That Only Happens To Me During HEAVY, HEAVY Rain Storms...
... your normal average everyday passing rainshower--or even the all-day rain shower--has no effect on my DirecTV reception.

Although it's an rare annoyance... it happens a LOT less than the outages I'd experience with Comcast. And the picture clarity and signal strength is SO MUCH BETTER than I had with Comcast.

Pisser that I still have to keep them for my internet connection though.

2. Basic Dish Network is cheaper than cable.
But MrsGrumpy is right about the rain. Makes you wonder how other satellite communications continue to function in the rain.

5. Yes....it goes black or freeze frames and the message, "Searching
for Satellite Signal appears". My brother had it but said even the marine layer can affect it. He is in LA.

4. I prefer cable b/c we tend to get
a lot of weather interruption. But I hear direct is cheaper. :shrug:

10. i've only had cable but i have no complaints except for the price
no matter how many pay channels i get rid of the price always ends up being the same.
