It was ugly on Sunday, and Buffalo exposed the Cowboy offense as the inept bunch that it is. But thank goodness for the Cowboy defense, which held on to win 10 to 6. As many in the metroplex have stated, the Cowboys would have found a way to lose a game like this under Campo. But this is Parcells team now, and a more disciplined approach helped win the game ( no turnovers this week - big!).
Reality will hit Sunday night. Belechick has had two weeks to prepare for this one (on a side note, this is the fourth Cowboy opponent they have faced after a bye week. Is that ultimate Cowboy hater, Paul Tagliabue, instrumenting this? Put your tin foil hat on). New England is running on all cylinders, and their defense will eat up a very vanilla Cowboy offense. Plus the fact Belechick had two weeks to prepare and the game is away - well, it could be a long night. To quote Parcells, "We won't be able to win every week 10 to 6."
Philly is still the team to beat in the east, and I'm still predicting that they win the division. Their win on Monday night I believe has solidified them as the best in the east. I've been saying Dallas will win 9 and get a wild-card, but 10 is a very distinct possibility. With New York and Washington still on the schedule, and a possible win in any of their other home games (Miami on Thanksgiving comes to mind), 10 wins is looking good. But I'll be a pessimist (or a realist, however you want to look at it) and still predict a wildcard with 9 wins.
