I met Joseph Wilson tonight

At a local fundraiser. He gave out autographed copies of his book and talked about the immense failure of leadership demonstrated by the Bush administration in Iraq and after Katrina. He said he is going to make appearances and campaign hard over the next 2 years for Democrats because he believes the country needs new faces and new attitudes about TRUTH! As in, let's have some for a change. He talked about how the the Republicans ran around saying his wife, who has never said a word publicly (or even revealed her identity publicly) "deserved what she got", and that showed how they put party above country, above real national security.

He was really down to earth and outgoing. The campaign was taking pictures of people with the ambassador and when he got up for a picture with me, he put his arm around me and said "The problem with my putting my arm around you is if this picture gets out, people might think you're my wife!" (I am tall and blond like the mysterious Mrs. Wilson). If the media are camped outside my door tomorrow, I guess I'll know why. :evilgrin:
