apparently a lot of lice are immune to it now or something. Fortunately (for you, it kinds sucked back them) my kid sister had lice a lot and passed them to me a few times as a kid, so I know what to do. Here's what you need: a shower cap, a nit comb, campho-phenique, some really harsh shampoo like nutrogena t gel, and a hairdyer.
Step one: nit comb through hair as thoroughy as you possibly can.
Step two: shampoo with the coal tar shampoo or other harsh shampoo. YOu could do the rid treatment in this step too if you like.
step three: after toweling off and getting as much water as you can out of your hair, coat head in campho-phenique, cover with shower cap and sit an hour or until the smell knocks you unconcious.
step four: shower again, get the nasty stuff our of your hair, thanking the deity of your choice that your head no longer smells like an old folks home.
step five: blow dry on hot until hair is bone dry. Blow dry after every shower for at least two weeks, keep checking for nits and using the nit comb as needed. You may need to repeat the process, but probably not if you nipped the problem in the bud.
