I purchased a gas space heater about a year ago from a resale shop to use in a workshop. Never installed it, it's just been sitting in there.
I was cleaning up the shop and moved the heater and was cleaning it up a bit. There's a little door on the side of it and for some reason I opened it. Inside was a black leather zip up case covered in dust, inside of that was a Colt snub nose .38 revolver.
I guess I'll call the sheriff and find out what one does with a found gun.
What a strange thing to find in a heater.

2. They'll probably check to see |
|
if it's been used in any unsolved crimes, and if not, I bet it's yours. Do you like to shoot?

Maybe it was used in a crime. You can't trust a strange gun.

I wasn't thinking and I wanted to check and see if it was loaded.

4. If you give it to them it may become another throw down gun. |
|
I've seen a case where one was used.

19. They convicted an Innocent person? |
|
Or was it the cop who threw down the gun?
I'm afraid I already know the answer, I just want to be sure.

22. The one they caught was guilty, but they didn't find his gun. |
|
They produced one to get the conviction. Had it been one of them involved in a shooting I have no doubt they'd have done the same. At least this one department is corrupt.

28. just imagine if you would if you would have lit the heater |
|
With a loaded gun inside? If it would have gotten hot enough ( have no idea where the gun was with respect to the heat source) you could have had a pretty dangerous situation.

At least I remember a Little Rascals episode where one of the rascals put some of his daddy's bullits in the pot bellied stove and boy howdy, there was shooting' and cursing and people getting a bullit in the arse...
What fun we had in the 30's....
Sigh....
