You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray.
You'll never know dear how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away.

But will someone PLEASE take this earworm away???

4. Andy Stephenson used to sing that to me...
all the time over the phone. I still miss him. I got home from work yesterday and the ice cream truck in my neighborhood was playing that song. I burst into tears.

14. You're in Winston-Salem
I grew up in NC and went to school in Winston-Salem. What a great little city. I sure miss a lot of things about it.

9. Could be worse.
I could put up a link w/ my daughter singing it. She was two at the time.
If it helps, I'm listening to Time Goes By (Louis Armstrong version)

11. She was adorable.
Curly blonde hair and big blue eyes. Only problem is that you hear the song for days afterward.
She will still sing it on cue.

13. Governor Jimmy Davis of Louisiana wrote that song.
In "O Brother Where Art Thou" it was the official song of Mississippi Governor Pappy O'Daniel.

Of course, W Lee "Pappy" O'Daniel was actually a Governor of Texas. He sponsored the Light Crust Doughboys--most of whom fled Texas with Bob Wills....
