5. downhill, A/C off, 50 MPH the whole way...
and painted with special friction reducing paint that is not available to the public.

Plus, it's really ugly.

11. Weird
I had to do a view source and then find the link, and then open the image by itself.

Butt car. Looks like an ugly version of the PT cruiser.

12. I just rented one of these in Houston
It's called the HHR...no idea what that stands for.

Yes its a PT Cruiser rip off.

It does get good mileage tho - but its hard to tell from the photo that this is actually a compact car.

You see, people still want the SUV, but are willing to go miniature to get it.

So what you see here is the first SUV that's also a compact car.

Still, I missed my Prius :)

16. my 92 Civic gets better ACTUAL mileage
27 city/32 hwy. I realise it's not a faux PT 'fugly' Cruiser x Generic gas guzzling SUV, but CHRIST! My car is 13 years old.

17. Well yeah Civics are amazing
My wife had an 86 Civic she finally got rid of in 04...and it had similar mileage to yours. Those things will run forever!

BTW...what do you think of the Civic Hybrid?

19. I love my car so much
If I could get a second car, I'd get a hybrid for town driving. Or if my engine ever bit the dust (it's only got 66,600 miles on it now) I'd see if I could get a hybrid shoehorned into the mighty Blackie.

They are the most attractive of the hybrids.

:)
