While at work.. don't forget to get your porn printouts from the printer
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 02:54 PM by nini
HOLY CRAP.. I went to pick up a printout and was greeted by SEVEN pages of links and GRAPHIC pictures.

Now, if you're going to do that at work - why wouldn't you run to the printer to pick it up instead of leaving it there for all to see. Better yet - wait until you get home.

Seriously, do you guys think it's a bit of a problem if you surf for porn from your work computer?

6. Funny thing is that printer is for a certain area only
I was using the copier part but the printer is used by only about 12 people.. it would be very easy to narrow down the culprit.

Stupid moran.

If you've got somebody on staff visiting porn sites then your company computers may need a bath.

You don't want to be releasing computer viruses or porn along with your product...

18. True story -- the former CIO of my agency did that and got fired
I work in gubmint, and because of strong civil service laws it's damn near impossible to get fired here, unless you really fsck it up badly. In fact, one of the few enumerated "fireable" acts is to have pr0n stored on your gov't-owned computer.

Well, Mr. CIO decides he's not only going to save some naughty piccies to his laptop, he's going to PRINT THEM OUT on a PUBLIC printer in the office. :eyes:

Yes, he was caught and escorted out the door an hour later. The sad thing is, he went down the street to another agency and got the SAME job there, with MORE PAY.

Just goes to show it's who you know, not what you know.

31. Not surprised
At most companies, people who sexually harass others tend to get promoted up the food chain: No one wants to deal with them, so they get moved to another department, kinda like child-molesting priests.

Last winter at work somebody asked me to help him with some computer problems he had been having. Turns out that for weeks when only he had access to the computer he had been visiting porn sites and places like job find. Most of the time he was doing this he was suppose to be working with children and they were still in the room with him.

:loveya:

I do believe it is a compulsive, sick behavior when the urge for porn is so strong you abuse company property to PRINT it out. If a person can't live 8 hours without it, they need to get help... and fired.

I think anywhere in between would have rushed to the printer, ESPECIALLY since it's in an area where very few print to it. (It's the company copier, but only a few actually print to it)

41. My, how technology has changed the workplace..
Used to be a time when someone wanted to print porn at work, they just unzipped, dropped trou/panties/underwear and squatted over the copy machine. (Now that's something you defiantly don't want to leave behind).

I work IT, and at most jobs Key Logging software has been installed. Now everyone is told that its been installed, and random audits will be done. Swear some people don't get it. Spend the day with porn, gaming, or some of the best IM about how much they hate their job, boss, coworkers.

44. LMAO! That's too funny!
I work from home--sooooo.... :P

No, seriously it would never occur to me to surf the net while at work. I'm weird that way. So I haven't been the most understanding person to those that have complained to me that their jobs took away their surfing abilities.

If I was being paid to do research, and using the internet to do so was permissable, that's one thing.

But, this is also why I work from home. I don't like being watched, or told what I can and can't do--even though I show respect for on the job rules. I just don't like to be constrained. (sigh)
