Ok, help me figure out one of my friends...

One of my guy friends that I've known forever just asked me if I ever had "a thing" for him in all the time we've known each other.

Now why in the name of god would he ask something like that?

He said he was just curious, but still. What a fuckin' nut.

And do all guys wonder this about their female friends?

1. Maybe he has a thing for you and he was trying to get a sense

if maybe you return those feelings--or---maybe he's had a tough day and needs his ego stroked?

so I'm thinking the "ego stroking" theory may have some validity.

I too am going to be divorcing soorer rather than later. I'd like to have another long term relationship in the future but one thing my current marriage taught me is to seek out companion who can be my best friend. He may be thinking along those lines as well.
