What a blast that was, and only a 30 second walk from my front door (okay maybe 45 seconds). :) :) :)

I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but I didn't realize until the show started that I hadn't brought my good lowlight lense with me.

I wish I'd gotten a shot of his Angus Young style karate kick to end the show . . . you wouldn't believe how spry this guy is for someone who's pushing 70 years old :)

4. Hell, if it weren't for the fact that his beard is grey and he no longer

has a full head of hair, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. . . he sounds and (facially anyway) looks exactly the same . . . oh yeah, and he has teeth now :). I guess he's made enough since Woodstock to buy some :).

It was a blast.

AND he played my all time favorite tune he's ever done, a cover of Jackson Browne's "Lives in the Balance" . . . EXCELLENT anti-war tune.

Not long though, right as I got up and started to say my hellos and thank yous, they were calling him to start the second set, so I got to shake his hand and say thanks, that was about it :). But still . . it's freakin' Richie Havens :) Still one of the nicest guys I've ever encountered.
