Mr. Heidi, the ultimate Trekkie, said . . .
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 12:18 AM by Heidi
Yesterday, I sold two huge paintings. After I closed the deal, Ultimate Trekkie Mr. Heidi turned to me, gave me a giant hug, and whispered in my ear, "Well done, Ensign Crusher!"

:spray: Um . . . sometimes I just don't know what to say.

3. .
I've gotta admit, it's one of the funniest things Mr. Heidi's ever said to me . . . and he's said many things that have left me either in thrashing-about laughter or absolutely speechless.

Live long and prosper, Mr. S.

7. I think Ensign Wesley Crusher
was from the Voyager series. Mr. Heidi _loathes_ him, and considers him a kiss-up figment of Gene Rodenberry's ego. It was a goofy thing to say, but it cracked me up, totally.

Thanks for your nice words, Peggy. :loveya:

12. Too funny!
The Wesley Crusher thing is something we laugh about, Mr. Heidi and me.

Thanks for the correction. I'm no Trekkie at all, though I was raised by Trekkie parents (original series) and married a Trekkie. You might say I'm surrounded. :hi:

10. I always fall asleep during ST series and films.
And I get the series names and characters all mixed up. But Mr. Heidi knew this about me from the get-go; I think he expresses his disappointment by giving me pet names like "Ensign Crusher."

Blossom of snow
May you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Edelweiss, edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever

They'd jump over here in a heartbeat arguing over what season was the best, which uniforms were the best, and which Dr. Crusher hairstyle was the best. You could really inflame it by saying that Star Trek blew Babylon 5 out of the water. Just think of the possibilities!!!:D

But I wouldn't pass judgment about body modification. It's her body, and I guess if she has regrets, she can get her ears "un-pointed" in a few years. It's not something I'd do, though. :scared:

have friends of all makes and models who've done interesting things to their bodies (a guy who has had his tongue surgically "forked," a woman who has those temporary corset piercings, etc.), and that's OK by us. I don't tolerate pain well enough for that sort of thing; I guess I'm "plain vanilla." ;)

We didn't get much sleep either.... but that was probably because biting does some odd things to me.

Don't think I ever thought of any of my girlfriends as Wesley Crusher though.

51. Were her fangs natural, or a modification?
There's a DU member who's in the process of modifying her body to become more cat-like. I find it fascinating, though not something I'd personally do.

Yeah, the "Ensign Crusher" thing cracked me up. But it was payback time, because I recently gave his new, huge flat-screen a Wesley Crusher screensaver.

...That was before we met, but she told me about it. I'm not sure how I would have felt about that. Biting is one thing. Actually ripping the skin open.... well other than some good natured claw marks.....

never mind. TMI (and TMB* on my part)
