In June our HR and Accounting departments were shut down and moved to the main offices in St. Louis

At the end of July a co-worker was killed in traffic accident. His brother (Tom) works for the our company too.

The company does provide life insurance, and the family is eligible to collect. Tom has been trying to get information from the main office's HR person (Cindy) - what does he need to file a claim, what paperwork has to be filled out etc.

It's been over a month and Tom has been getting very little help or answers.

Yesterday, he's telling me about the run-around and how everytime he calls with a question - Cindy says "I don't know".

This "I don't know" answer is typical - other co-workers have had the same response when they've asked for information on things like vacation time left, health insurance etc.

I told Tom that I thought Cindy should apply to FEMA for a job - she's just as clueless....
