James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has lashed out at US President George W Bush over his environmental policies.

Brosnan said Mr Bush was responsible for dismantling laws designed to protect the planet.

"I think he has a lot to answer for really," said the actor.

"This man has repealed so many environmental acts since he's been in power.

"And while the right hand is shaking over here with war he has just been taking away from this great planet of ours.

"This earth is getting smaller and smaller and we all have the right to breathe fresh air and drink clean water.
