UPDATE: My Dad
OK, my dad's in the hospital still. He's got a bad kidney infection, and is on IV Keflex for it. My mom went to see him with my bro, and they said he asked about the Red Sox, so that's a good sign :)

Also, the hospital called this morning about planning his discharge, so we assume that means he's gonna be ok.

Thank you all for your words of support through what just may be one of the most difficult times of my life thus far. I am depleted, broken, and wrecked, but hopefully this too shall pass, with some time. :)

1. You might be depleted, broken and wrecked....but you are also
ALIVE...and in one piece....And you will SURVIVE AND COME BACK STRONGER!

I know you will....I feel it...I feel your strength across these many many miles....

So glad your dad is going to be OK....

7. Thanks for the update bb!
and don't forget to take care of yourself, too. Sometimes it's hard to overlook your own well-being when you've got so much other stuff going on.

12. Hehe, you know it
since i'm losing my car as well, i went out this morning and got a few cartons...what's going to be really hard is eating. my stomach says it's hungry, but my brain says no way...eventually, i'll get there. :)

13. Food has been most unappealing lately
I've lost 15 lbs in the past 2 weeks. People have been noticing and worry.

But I found a great heartbreak food last night. A Pint of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food and a pint of Choco Chip cookie Dough ice cream, shared with a friend while watching movies until 3 a.m.

I was so tired by then that I actually slept 4 hours straight...

14. I bought potato chips
maybe i'll actually eat them, at some point...i can't afford to lose weight, i only weigh 110 lbs to begin with, sigh.

and sleep? maybe someday i'll sleep again...my life feels like a waking nightmare right now though.

21. Eat you must, and sleep you must.
Tell a friend about it and let them take care of you.

It is difficult, but I did and it helped.

24. It's good to hear he's doing OK
That they are discharging him and his spirits are up. Good news!

It's such a terrible thing when something bad happens to someone you love... and you can't FIX it! It's frustrating and fearful and tears you apart.... Our thoughts and prayers are with him, and also you.

But it sounds like he's doing good and will be home soon!

Khash.
