Evita managed to get another song bird. I figured out she somehow manages to catch them in the window with the Airconditioning unit. There are billows that cover the gap on either side and she pushes out the billowing and somehow manages to snag a bird.
Nothing is more repulsive than scooping up bird guts and a decapitated head while your cat watches with feathers hanging from her mouth.
Abbott just sits there and licks himself. Damn men! He should be trying to stop her!

3. Tell her she has to quit her post in the kitty mafia |
|
Or at the very least tell her to take a position that doesn't involve killing. My cat Harlon used to run catnip as a kitten, now that he's adopted us he's been out of the family.

I know it's gross, but they really can't help it.
You'd think after a few thousand years that instinct would have left them, but noooooooooo.

|
I put a new container of laundry detergent on the ledge where she sits. That'll block her for a bit

6. That's an incredibly clever cat |
|
And there is something more repulsive - take it from me. Stepping out your door onto a disemboweled rat - in your bare feet! Gaaack!!! I can still feel the little rodent guts between my toes! :puke:

three basic instincts: hunt--kill--eat. Even when they play, they are living out these feelings. They hunt when they chase a toy and they kill when they attack the toy. They just can't help it.

20. The best investment I ever made |
|
was installing pet proof screening on our patio door. It has held up for five years now and cost about $15. It still looks brand new and is easy to install with a butter knife, ( my favorite tool in my tool arsenal.) Got four cats that have tried to shred it and the overweight siamese scales it every day.
I installed it because I had a hole in the screen which was a silhouette of one of the cats fleeing thru the door with the dog in pursuit.
