follow that rule too, but since I didn't have a horse in this race I've felt pretty free to trash talk texas (being a sooner fan, I'm almost obligated) ... but anyway, looks like they might really have it together this year.

are firing ... being at the 2001 and 2002 games when we were both in the top five coming in--those are two of my fondest sports memories. And, if nothing else, a Texas win this year would help rebalance the West End for next year's battle :)

85. All in all it was a good game
I don't think Young is as good as they are trying to make him out to be though.
Tressel needs to find a quarterback to stick with. The Bucks defense is really good and if it wasn't for the quarterback switching they would have won this game no problem. 22 points with only one touchdown should tell them something.

88. Yeah, he threw 2 td's and 3 INT's!!
The measuring sticks for QB's says if you've got more picks than TD's then you're not a very good quarterback.

94. Sacks aren't his fault though, unless in certain situations
Sacks are contributed to his blockers usually unless he holds on to the ball too long.

95. True
But for being the scrambler he is, he didn't do as well as I thought he would. And that one were he had the ball above his head the whole time, I can't believe we didn't snag it.
But yeah, the sacks weren't his fault.

96. Vince Young's Heisman hopes crushed in the dust at the Shoe.Buckeyes,
I salute your heart. After this game you should remain at #4. It was that close. Best game I've seen since, well, the 2005 Rose Bowl. Does Vince Young really put on his pants one leg at a time? That may be open for debate.

The Horns should pick up a few #1 votes after this gritty win. Ater seeing this team underachieve for the last few years this is a real treat.

I was pleased to see Ohio State win the National Championship in 2002.It had been over thirty years since they'd done it so I thought a premiere program winning it all was great for college ball.Seeing OU,Nebraska, and the Florida teams winning it all damn near every year was getting old. Maybe this year is UT's turn. Thirty five years between trophies is a long drought.

What a game, what a game, what a game.A little cornball but in this case I believe there are really no losers.

Best of luck with the remainder of your season,OSU.You being in Pasadena in January of 2006 is hardly out of the question.

98. I don't think his hopes are crushed (though maybe they should be)
They did win, after all, and he showed signs of actually being a decent passer--and that last TD pass was a thing of beauty. He didn't have a great game, overall, but it was against a tough defense and a tough team in a really tough environment. I've been a VY doubter, but despite the INTs, he came away with an impressive win today ...

99. I was being sarcastic. An uneven performance, but in a very partisan
atmosphere he won it in the final minutes.Poise under pressure, this guy's just going to get better. To all UT opponents the reality of Vince Young touching the ball on every UT offensive possession has to be a little unnerving.

One prediction: If UT does play USC for the National Championship in January they'll fare a little better than OU did last year.

101. whoops, didn't catch the sarcasm ... but
speaking as someone who's team will play vince soon, I don't think the reality of VY touching the ball on every UT offensive possession is quite as unnerving as seeing our own currently anemic offense in action against the new ut defense.

and while I do think ut has a pretty good shot at getting back to the rose bowl this year, I'd have to say that just about anybody would fare better against usc than OU did last year :o:) (but, hey, they were there ;)

103. The game kept me awake through much of Louisiana
and it ended nice.

Sorry Ohio State. You had your chance to have me as a fan, but noooo, you wouldn't accept me into your grad school program, so I went to Texas instead.
