"Piss" appears in TV shows; they use the phrase "pissed off" every so often.

The other word to which I refer may have even been usable in the day of his great list, but it is limited to nature documentaries about a particular species of bird, and perhaps George didn't watch such programs. :D

I think South Park had an episode where they said shit a few hundred times.

Does South Park actually air the words, or do they do the kind of "bleeps" where you still know what the word is?

Worse, the fuckers put a Shit Counter at the bottom of the screen.

I was on the South Park mailing list at the time of this show, and the moderator put up a contest: win a t-shirt or some damn thing for guessing the right number of shits. Everyone else was like "oh, they'll only say shit ten times" or "they'll only say shit twenty-five times." I was taking the opposite tack: Parker and Stone are going to push it as far as they possibly can and say shit a LOT--I went with 150 shits. Someone else guessed 160 and got the t-shirt when there were 165 shits in the program. But believe me, the 160-shit poster and I got dogged unmercifully over that high shit estimate...until the show came on and hit 30 shits in the first two minutes.

Comedy Central plays that episode, later episodes, and the entire unbleeped South Park movie later in the night. They play other movies as well. No bleeping.
