Look what I found when I googled my user name.

I've been posting on DU for awhile now and I have posted quite a few threads that I thought would have enraged freepers. So I half expected to find something calling me an "idiot", "socialist", or any of their other buss words when I googled my user name. I don't know whether I should be pissed, honored, or confused. After all, I get called a freeper at one point.

I went that a while back and found something I posted on DU and it ended up on that site.

It's a silly site.

8. I was shocked the other day...

when some of them were supporting my "Save the Pets" thread.

It was nice to see that some of them didn't care about politics when saving animals was concerned; they were even getting accused of being PETA-heads and such, but were sending $ to Noah's Wish and the SPCA anyway.

That made me feel good.

was that site who cannot be named calling me a mole. I just googled myself, and the site won't let me in to see. Big surprise.

Rant on: This is the second time I have ever visited a "freeper" site and I came away offended both times. I believe in my heart that the greatest measure of a man is that which he (or she) leaves behind for the children of this planet. Not exactly the way it was originally spoken but that adaptation reflects my feelings better. I also believe that having respect for: all things on this planet, is key for a healthy relationship with: all things on this planet.
I have a friend. He is in his 70s now, his name is Raymond. He is a republican Precinct Commander, a strong conservative and a devout Christian. Ray is much beloved in our community, he has done a hell of a lot to improve the lives of everyone he has ever come in contact with. Ray is the disc golf pro for the Ft. Steillacoom Disc Golf course. He sells us our discs. We have thousands of players and novices come through here each year, most have had the very good fortune of meeting Ray. He taught many of us how to throw discs. He maintains our course, a course which at one time was ranked 9th in the nation. Ray has earned the respect of all around here. I am very honored to be able to call Ray my friend. He and I absolutely do NOT see eye to eye on politics or religion. He claims that I am too nice to be a Democrat, I tell him he is too smart to be a republican. Ray and I respect each other, we lead by example out on the course. If I might speak for Ray; "Those kids who wrote that about you are not really Republicans" Speaking for myself, Ray is right, but neither are those bastards who are ruining this planet. I can not find it in my heart to have any respect for either of them.

Believe it or not. There are Finnfans on th DC Comics forums, the French Kiss records forum (?), the Shania forum (:rofl:), etc. None of them are me.
