Here is my updated version....

So a Repblican who owes great sums of money to a multi-national corporation was called before the board. And they wished to have him punished somehow, but he begged them for time to repay. The board allowed this.
As he left, he saw victims of Hurricane Katrina taking food from a store, and he shot them and beat them, and demanded they retun the goods or pay.
Now when other Republicans heard this, they cheered him and made him their leader.
But then finally the people came before him with the power of the courts and they punished him.
