My roomate found out her Dad comes to her gym.
So, here's what I know, she's a third year science student at a university that's about a 40 minute drive away.
This kinda sucks, cause she's gonna end up meeting some jerk-off there (If she is single, my friend will find out this week) ...she's still gonna work at the restaurant, so I have access... but I gotta move quickly. So we are now scheming to find a way for me to meet her outside of work.
Any ideas?
It doesn't have to be zany, but if you're gonna scheme, you gotta at least TRY to make it zany.

I used to see stupid shit all the time in the truck stop restaurants that I ate in. Guys who were about 62 years old flirting with 20 year old waitresses. Or guys who looked and smelled like they just got done tarping and strapping a flatbed load doing the same. I've felt very pained for many a waitress who had to endure that shit. Like she was just going to hop in the guy's sleeper if the guy acted like he was interested in her.

I know if I were a waitress I would probably be much less likely to want to get to know someone in a casual way if I was trying to do a job.

Other people may feel differently about that. It's probably about a 50/50 deal.

Some people have the erroneous misconception that women find all male sexual interest repulsive and would rather just be left alone. I would almost guarantee if a waitress was asked for her number in a non-lecherous way by a guy/gal she found attractive, she would give it. And I'm a waiter by trade, so I've seen it happen enough times.

Lenny Bruce had a great bit about this, where he talks about how his mom and aunt would always talk disgustedly about "some guy" exposing himself to them in the city. Lenny goes on to say eventually he realized from the frequency and unlikelihood of these encounters they were made-up stories, like how a little guy might say he beat up some bruiser, etc. His theory was that his fear of getting a similar disgusted reaction was why he couldn't approach a woman he hadn't met--he had to be introduced first before he could make a move. And I've known some guys in high school and in college with similar problems.

Park your car next to hers at the restaurant, and be there with the hood up when she gets off work. Have some cables, tell her your battery is dead, and ask for a jump (don't actually have a dead battery - if she tells you to fuck off you still need to get home). Hook up the cables to her battery, but 'accidentally' touch the other clamps together before hooking them to your car. It will make a lot of sparks and you can act like you got a bit of a shock. She'll want to be sure you're OK, and will come over and grab your hand. You gaze into her eyes, and nature takes over...

finding out what you can from another waitress there. You would have to let that waitress know about your interest (which could work to your advantage). It sounds pretty 'high school', but, what the hell, it works.
