Okay, so, something positive from this poster, for a change.
While September 11, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 were difficult but sometimes inspiring days for me, September 12, curiously, has always been a day of celebration, joy, and hope, even if those emotions and experiences had serious elements to them. I think it's a "love among the ruins" thing. September 12, 2001: Er, a little too personal, but let's just say it was fun--oh, and I went to a friend's birthday party. September 12, 2002: I had just started a new job, and that was when I really started to get "settled in," and reuited with an old friend. September 12, 2003: this day was mostly about realizing the need to ditch a very, very bad person from my life, so it was positive in a self-affirming sense. September 12, 2004: I spent the day with local Kerry volunteers, preparing to maximze resources for the last leg of the campaign.
Anyone else recognize September 12 for any positive reasons?
