3. did you have the first one
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 02:50 PM by auntAgonist
or did you cancel it? I'm glad you're going for one. Colon Cancer is one of the easiest cancers to cure when caught early. Early detection is easy with a colonoscopy.

Don't cancel!!!!!!!!!!

RIP (my mother) Mum, .. her colon cancer wasn't caught in time. 69 years young.

5. No, I had one back in 1998
Age 35. Just turned 43, and it's time for another one (no time during law school; all sorts of time now). They said Mom might have had cancer for 10-12 years before diagnosis; she had two tumors the size of tennis balls in her liver.

8. I've had 2
I'm sorry that you too lost your mother to colon cancer. Mum was misdiagnosed over and over again  When she finally changed Dr's at my insistance it was too late. 1 year and a couple of months after confirmation of colon cancer she was gone.

That was in '97. I need to schedule another one too.

 to you DTBK

9. I'm so sorry
That is a heartbreaking story.

And I just remembered October 7th is during Ramadan (how could I have forgotten that?), so I can't do it then. I'm trying to reach the office to reschedule for November.

17. Hope everything comes out OK in the end.
Seriously - I'm overdue for my first and I owe you some sincere thanks for reminding me.
I have a doc appt for this Wed (something else) and will ask for a referral - I lost my OM back when he was just a couple of yrs older than I am now - so if you do the math - I'm way overdue.

18. I hope the doctor doesn't find a brain there instead of in your head
That's where they found Bush's brain--when he had the Bush brain scan 3 years ago.

20. I had a sigmoidoscopy(sp?) recently.
It was interesting to see inside myself on the tv screen. Everything looked great.

Oh and the prep is sooo much fun. :hurts: :hurts: :hurts:

21. I've had several
due to Crohn's disease (now thankfully in remission, knock wood!). The prep is the worst part, to me. GoLytely, ugh! :puke:

What kind are you having, conventional or virtual?

23. Conventional
I never minded the stuff I had to drink with the first one; it was the enema that about killed me! But the scheduler informed me today that I won't have to have one here; just drink a half gallon of GoLytely and take 4 tablets.
