I blew it today-drove out from the alley by my office and ran into a passing car. Should've waited until the big truck that was blocking my view had decided to mosey on in a quarter hour or so, but I was impatient....anyway, I made sure the other driver was ok, got both vehicles to the side of the street and out of traffic, got out all my insurance information and made copies for other driver while she called the police. Since big truck was parked in a partial yellow zone, the cop didn't ticket me. Other driver is ok, car's dented, but hopefully insurance will take care of it. I'm ok, fender cracked on my car, but that's all. Probably will have an increase in rates next year, but I'll just have to pay it.

If a little old lady in Arkansas can take responsibility, why can't Bush?

I don't like to generalize but there are some things that it's pretty easy to do it with and this is one of them.

I'm a lifelong liberal. I've never stolen anything and never would.

I return the money at the grocery store when they give me too much change.

When I put my coins in the vending machine, I only take one newspaper.

I never fudge my timecard.

When I'm on the clock at work, I'm working - not outside smoking cigarettes, or lurking around the break room or slacking off in some way or another.

I've worked with a lot of people and I swear every one of them who is a liar and a cheat and a slacker has turned out to be a Republican.

I worked with one guy on a road construction job - we were thrown together one day assigned to put up silt fence. A hard, dirty, thankless job. All day, he harangued me on the many reasons women should not be "allowed" to work construction, all the while leaning on a shovel while I did the lion's share of the work! He was eventually fired because they found him sleeping in the woods when he was supposed to be working.

Just one example of many. Good for you - my theory is that no one else may ever know but I have to live with my actions.
