Remember the cartoon where Bugs Bunny tried to flex his biceps, but his upper arm fell into a U-shape and he slapped at it and it swung? They got the idea for that from my flabby arms.

Now: You may think I don't like myself. That's not true. Although I want to slim down, I do accept myself as I am. It's just that I'm terribly self-conscious.

4. I can relate

Kim, I'm still very self conscious even although I've lost so much weight. I still turn sideways when walking past people in groups so I don't bump them. I was always sure people were looking at me and thinking I must be 'something' .. fill in the blank, you know?

I'm glad you are accepting of yourself and I do wish you luck with slimming down, your health will thank you :)

Yup 104, I'm utterly amazed and so very thankful. My overall well being has improved so much. I feel a LOT better than I ever did. I'm down to 187 .. and I actually got into the wedding dress I wore in 1977 , just the other day LOL. I was only 150 then, but must have been shaped different.

This DESPITE losing the weight I have in the last year.

Now I wonder if everyone is noticing the loose skin haning off my arms, or if my face looks sunk-in and old (it probably doesn't, but I'm not used to it any other way but plump), or if my butt looks way out of proportion to my shoulders and chest.
