Simba tries every chance he gets to do it, and we have a heck of a time stopping him. It's so crazy how cats are provided with fresh water and seem to prefer the delicacies of the toilet!

Sometimes I try try to conserve pee water by only flushing every third time. Damn cat thinks he's Roland Martin with the toilet paper.

Not just to keep the cats out, but also to be sure the seat gets put down.

3. I don't "let" my cat do anything |
|
He does what he fucking wants and if I don't like it, he has a faceful of fangs I can complain to.

I also keep the lid down, although I do flush every time I use it.
I don't want my dog drinking out of it, either. The thought disgusts me.

5. Keep the lid closed! There are germs in the bowl that can |
|
make an animal extremely ill.

Riley does seem to love it, so I try to remember to put the lid down.

But no; The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger would drink skunky beer before he drank from the toilet. He prefers to drink from the koi pond; it tastes like forbidden fish. :eyes:

11. One sometimes does. We provide a water bowl, but I see them ouside |
|
drinking from the saucers under the flower pots, a pan on the back porch where water collects sometimes, anywhere where a little water has collected. They (4 of them) do this even when there is a water bowl outside on the porch!
I think thee is some instict to drink from any little water source nature provides.
