I'll be watching with a tiny portion of even my skeptical brain open to this possibility because I've been of the opinion for awhile now that Bush will resign rather than face down the multitude of potential impeachment or other charges awaiting him if he remains in office. I could explain more about why I think there's a small chance this might be it, but if you don't see it, you don't see it, I guess.

It's a distinct possibility - though if he does it tomorrow night, I *will* be surprised.

He will resign only when he is told to by his puppet masters, and I don't think they're ready for it yet; I think they might still feel either that they can salvage the situation, OR they are waiting to set him up for a REALLY BIG failure, and doom him to oblivion.

I'm sure Cheney has more time to spend in his secret bunker, doing secret things, in preparation for Shithead's resignation. He, and his secret government, are likely not yet quite fully in place for him to take the reigns of president.
