let me tell you a story about security after 9/11 (the same year) at the Newark airport. In winter I am wearing a hat with two very sharp hair pins. When I checked back in to fly back to Germany I had my hat on (also when I got into the States). When I got through security they made me drink out of the bottle of water I was carrying. They didn't notice the hair pins. Neither times. And I walked through the detector. It was strange. I really could hurt someone with those pins. That says it all for me about security. But taking away my manicure set (that was another time but still) :eyes:
