65. My health.
{{{{sigh}}}}

MS sucks. Not so much the illness itself, but the limiting nature of my life now. It's too hot for me to go outside and work in my garden, which I used to love, even in 100+ degree temps.

I can't get overheated, so I can't help out at Reunion with the evacuees.

I hate my job, but I'm terrified to quit because of new insurance implications I never had to deal with before, and I'm basically miserable at this crummy new chapter my life has taken on.

I'm wondering if I'll have to deal with crippling symptoms, incontinence, MORE memory loss, or blindness in the future. the undertainty sucks.

You're one of my favorite DUers (didn't know that, didja?) and I was unaware that you were facing this health challenge. My cousin was diagnosed with MS when he was 20, and he's since married, had a son and completed seminary. One never knows what the future holds, but I'm sending good vibes that your future brings mastery over MS.

79. Aw thanks Heidi!
Sometimes we hide our admiration for folks over the internet, huh? Ditto here.

It means a lot to know I have so many friends in my corner. The Betaseron shots help quite a bit too. I mean, if I had to get this, this has got to be the best time in terms of treatability and all.

It's the uncertainty that sucks.

Thanks for the hug!

78. I knew a lady with MS
she was older already and started having trouble with walking during the time I was acquainted with her. She was a student at the private school I was working at. I was impressed by the way she carried herself. She still took care of her sick mother. She was very interested in the studies and it was always a pleasure to talk to her.

81. It seems everyone knows someone with it.
It seems to be becoming more prevalent. Who knows what we were exposed to when we were younger that caused this weird glitch in the old immune system.

Wow. I couldn't imagine going back to school now, although it was always one of my goals to get my masters.

Thanks for the hug!

the chance to undo some things I've done in the past. I'm over the regrets and I've moved on. There are people I miss, .. my Mum , my son who only 'needs' me when he 'needs' something ... I miss the small town I used to live in ...

I miss having LOTS of people around me ..
I have my loving husband, I adore Him. I love my life, but there are still things I miss.

82. Privacy.
I have no privacy. I can't even go to the restroom by myself w/o my daughter running and wanting to know what I'm doing(pretty damn obvious what I'm doing!).
The worst part is that she will hear the rustle of a tampon wrapper, run in and convince herself that I must be hiding candy from her(since she heard something being opened in there).
