12. My mom did too......March 12, 2005
She would have been 88 on her birthday, March 20. We buried her on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17th, that was her favorite holiday. We had a great time, but I miss her terribly now. *sigh* I pray every day that she is in heaven. Everyone who met her always said she was a saint. No bother, no trouble, no bad side, always positive, always saw the best in people, always saw the bright side of life. Wish I could live like that. I miss her so much. She loved being Irish, her favorite drink was Baileys Irish Cream. We all toasted her life in little plastic shamrock shot glasses, on the day we buried her. She would have loved that. I miss her. She was a huge Wisconsin sports fan, Brewers, Packers, Bucks, and Badgers, the Brewers were her favorite. I'd call every week before the Packer game, and she'd be saying "oh, they're going to win today, I prayed for them at church." Or, yup, they're going to do it today, gotta think positive for them." Just the best fan. The Brewers are at .500. First time in a long time, and I know it's her up there doing her job on the outcome. Now if I can just get her to concentrate on the Packers....... I miss her so much.

7. You'd BETTER love your mom. You'd be a rotten kid if you didn't.
Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 03:37 PM by Redstone
(Just joking. I know there are extenuating circumstances...my older son, for example, doesn't even talk to his mother, and I don't blame him. Fortunately, he has Mrs R, who he's called Mom since he came to live with us when he was 4 years old.)

I had a good Ma, though. Sound like you do, too.

11. I'm always glad to see people appreciate their moms
My mom died when I was 14 - whenever I hear people bitch about their moms (and I know some moms deserve it), I kinda wish I had one to bitch about. Ya know?
